The Mermaid (2016)
The story follows Liu Xuan, a wealthy real-estate tycoon who buys a coastal wildlife reserve for a land reclamation project. His sonar technology devastates marine life, including a secret community of mermaids who live nearby.
To stop him, the mermaids send Shan, a young and innocent mermaid, to assassinate Liu Xuan. However, when Shan meets him, she discovers his softer side and the two unexpectedly fall in love. As their romance develops, Liu Xuan begins to reconsider his destructive project.
